Operational Update: Rebooking Payment Schedules
Back with another exciting update to Payment Schedules, with huge thanks to @Sean Novis and the team.
What’s new
- Change/extend dates now works for multi-room bookings across both 50/50 deposits and dynamic schedules.
- Rebooking ID has been introduced for Payment Schedules
- Credit deposit limit of 50% of booking value has been increased to 75%.
Multi Room Date change/ extensions
- Changes must be made on one room at a time, same concept with single room orders whereby the number of repayments and the repayment value will change depending on the changes occurring to the order.
Rebooking ID (this ones huge!)
- Enables rebooking using the credit from the cancelled booking as the deposit while:
- Waiving the service fee (No need to refund the original service fee)
- Retaining the customer’s original Payment Schedule
- Can be used across:
- Different offers or hotels
- Different products (e.g. tours)
- Different booking values
- Credit cannot cover more than 75% of the new booking value (updated from 50%). This rule applies to all Payment Schedules, with or without a Rebooking ID.
- If a Rebooking ID can’t be used, clear error messaging will display (e.g. dates too close to check-in for Payment Schedules).
Still to come
- Post-purchase room upgrades with Payment Schedules which is currently in progress.
